Using bright and contrasting color combinations, Rebecca Rose who is mainly a
self-taught artist, paints the world with passion and fury. For the world is
her canvas; she paints everything from traditional canvases she constructs by
hand, to live people, turning the human body into a living work of art.
Rebecca Rose works out of her studio, as she calls it, 'Rose Studios', outside
of Pittsburgh, PA. Rose is originally from Maryland and has been painting for
over ten years, and has recently begun painting full time. She has created
artworks that are as far west as Alaska and as far east as London. Rose
delights in creating custom pieces of art for her clients, learning their
personalities, likes and dislikes, and the conversations that stimulate joint
creativity.
Rose enjoys painting live people, for festivals, events, fashion shows, etc.
She says there is a magical and mysterious quality to it. Rose says the
'ghost-like' quality is that once the art is created it can only be enjoyed
for a day, except for its 'shadows' or photos that are left behind.
