Indiana Art Association:
A major purpose of the Indiana Art Association is to provide workshops and
classes in painting, sketching, and related arts of all kinds to adults and
children. Classes are taught during the day and evenings. Members also get
together for art-related trips, outings, and adventures. We have two
members-only shows each year--in the fall and spring. Our members may also
display/sell their artwork in a number of Indiana Art Association sponsored
exhibits at local businesses throughout the year. Beginning artists are
always encouraged and supported. While our members range from complete
beginner to seasoned professional, we believe that all artists should be
life-long learners. We provide a supportive learning environment for
beginners as well as plenty of opportunities for those who are more
advanced. Recently the Junior Indiana Art Association was formed for
students in grades 7 through 12. We also host an annual ArtsCamp for
children for one week during the summer. Guest artists and speakers are
featured at our monthly meetings. The meetings are informal and open to the
public. Delicious refreshments are always served too. IAA membership
entitles you to reduced rates on our classes, allows you to exhibit in our
numerous shows, provides you with a free copy of our quarterly newsletter,
and gets you acquainted with lots of great folks who are interested in
art...just like you!
Meetings held the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in the 4th floor
Gallery of the Indiana Theater Building.
Annual Membership fee is $15.00.
