ART FOR AUTISM
Westminster Recreational Outreach Center of the Westminster Presbyterian
Church, 2040 Washington Road, Upper St. Clair is offering Art for Autism
classes.
The Art for Autism classes are specially designed for autistic children to
create and express and use their imaginations through art. Simple yet
creative projects will be offered each month The instructor has experience
with autistic children. During each class she will have an experienced
helper who is the parent of an autistic child and who works with special
needs children in the Mt. Lebanon School District. As always, the class is
open for parents to sit in and observe.
The schedule of classes is as follows:
Sat., May 3--Air-dry White Clay
Sat., June 7--Acrylic Painting on Canvas
Tues., July 1--Watercolor Painting
Tuesday, Aug. 5--Picture Frame Craft
The times are as follows:
1 PM to 2:30 PM--5-11 years old
3:30 PM to 5 PM--12-18 years old
