Robert Paul
Robert R. Paul, 63, Boswell, died Aug. 18, 2009, at Good
Samaritan Hospital. Born
March 28, 1946, in Somerset. Preceded in death by mother, Evelyn D. (Imel) Paul.
Survived
by father Ross E. Paul, Boswell; wife of 24 years the former Joan L. Baraniak,
Somerset;
son Jason “Jay” Paul, Boswell; sister Linda married to Donald Szyska,
FallsChurch, Va.;
and 6 nieces and nephews. A 1964 graduate of former Jenner Boswell High
School.
Served with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves from 1964-1967. Retired field
technician
with General Electric, where he worked for 31 years. Following his retirement
from
G.E., he worked for DeVilbis Medical Co., Bittner Vending, CRH Vending and most
recently, Gilmour Manufacturing. A lifetime member of the Jenner Rod & Gun Club
and the Jerome Nest 556, Polish Falcons of America. He was an active horseman
and
in 1968 he won the Pa. state championship in jumping. He enjoyed playing pool
and
hunting and fishing with his son. Bob will be sadly missed by his family and
friends.
