First Annual Chili Cook-Off for
Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries
& Rockwell’s Feed, Farm, & Pet Supply Open House
When: Saturday, April 4, 2009 11:00am til the food is gone! (Set up at 10:30am)
Where: Rockwell’s Feed Farm and Pet Supply Front Porch, 1943 Shumway Hill Road, Wellsboro off Route 6, left on Shumway Hill Road, right into driveway and parking lot.
$15 entrance fee…bring your own table and crock-pot; electricity provided…the more chefs we have the better! We will be out of weather under a roof.
$5 buys your pass to taste all entries…all the public invited to attend
(utensils, napkins, and bowls donated by Artisan’s Shoppe.)
Water, soda, and hotdogs also on sale from the Wellsboro Kiwanis Club
$100 First Place
$50 Second Place
$25 Third Place
All remaining proceeds go to Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries
to help at risk animals of Tioga County.
Judging takes place at 1:00pm…

2009 Calendar Of Events
Feb 24th 6pm to 9pm “Girls’ Night Out,” Three Birds Restaurant, 73 E. Market, Corning, NY $25 at the door. A fundraiser for Nonnie Hood Parent & Family Resource Center. Sue Robb & Muriel Taylor will be displaying and selling Watercolor Passages and You Light Up My Life wine bottles for this event. Artisan’s Shoppe is donating half the proceeds.
Feb 25th 5:30pm to 7:30pm Wood Turning Class with Donald Naylor at the Tioga County Visitor’s Bureau, 2052 Route 660, Wellsboro, PA $10 to learn how to turn on a lathe and take a piece home with you. Call 570-724-0635 to register.
Feb 28th 6:30pm - ?? Mountain Home Jazz Festival, Penn Wells Hotel, Wellsboro. All proceeds benefit the Tioga County Food Pantries. Artisan’s Shoppe is a sponsor and is selling the tickets. $22 or $33 depending on your appetite for dinner. Reservations required 724-2111.
March 22nd Artisan’s Shoppe Two Year Anniversary…will celebrate with a chili cook-off April 4th…see attached!
March 25th 5:30pm to 7:30pm Gourd Decorating, Carving, Wrapping, and Burning by Jane Palmer and Kathy Riley at the Tioga County Visitor’s Bureau, 2052 Route 660, Wellsboro, PA $10 to learn how to make a cool gourd and take it home with you. Call 570-724-0635 to register.
March 27th Maple Festival Weekend…come join in the fun and festivities at local sugar shacks and Hills Creek State Park. Call The Wellsboro Area Chamber of Commerce for further details. 724-1926. Wendy will be a judge for all different maple products…yum yum!
